Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Welcome to Hotel Hudson. We are a non-smoking hotel offering bed and breakfast accommodation at reasonable prices throughout the year. Built in 1904 the hotel has been extensively and sympathetically refurbished in its centenary year, combining many of the original features with modern décor to give a traditional but contemporary look. Hotel Hudson provides 10 spacious, well appointed bedrooms (most with sea views) each having its own stylish shower room, TV/DVD and beverage facility.

As a fully licensed hotel we are able to provide a wide range of wines, beers and spirits for you to enjoy in our sizeable bar or while relaxing on our raised front patio, taking in the views across Torwood Gardens. We serve breakfast between 8.30am and 9.00am starting with tea or coffee, fruit juice, toast, cereals and fresh fruit followed by your choice of full English or continental breakfast (special diets catered for).

Our hotel in Torquay does not have family rooms and we do not take children under 12 years of age. No pets. Groups by prior arrangement. Guaranteed free car parking available for every room occupied (one car per room).

 

Torquay Attractions

 
Hotel Hudson's location could not be better. A 2 minute walk from the hotel take you to the harbour front with its restaurants, bars, open air cafes and bustling nightlife. Yet the hotel enjoys the peace and tranquility of Torwood Garden Park situated directly opposite the hotel.

A further 5 minutes walk takes you to the town centre with lots more shops, more bars and fast food outlets. The hotel is ideally situated for access to coastal walks, or perhaps you'd prefer a day trip to a nearby coastal town such as Paignton or Brixham either by road or taking a boat trip across the bay.

Many more boating trips are on offer at the harbour from fishing to pleasure cruises, speed boats and jet skis or maybe you'd enjoy a ride on the steam train to Dartmouth and don't forget the beauty of Dartmoor is just a short drive away.

From the M5 take the A38 then the A380 In to Torquay follow signs for the harbour. At the clock tower turn left over traffic lights and Hotel Hudson is 200 mts on the left hand side.
