Our BNB is a local building of historic interest. All or some rooms have ensuite facilities. Garden and/or patio area for guests Hairdryers are available in rooms or on request. Internet access available in rooms or residents lounge. We accept all cards that display the Mastercard logo.

Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Peel House an impressive Georgian Town House was originally built for a wealthy Lawyer in the 1850's. In 1911 it was bought by the council for use as a police station and billet. It remained in use as a police station until 1998 but much of the property was sadly neglected in the latter years. Throughout 1999 under the supervision of its new owners the property underwent a major restoration program for which it won a prestigious conservation award. Restored to its former elegance Peel House offers its guests spacious comfortable accommodation conveniently situated in the centre of the attractive town of Eccleshall. A good variety of shops, restaurants and Inns are only a short stroll away.

The spacious bedrooms are all equiped with: television & DVD player, tea & coffee making facilities and hair dryer. The lounge is a spacious, well furnished, comfortable room. Residents can relax in front of the widescreen television listen to music or read. A superb cooked breakfast is served each morning in the breakfast room. Special diets can be catered for by prior arrangement.

Staffordshire is blessed with several areas of outstanding natural beauty - The National Forest, Cannock Chase, Staffordshire Moorlands and the Peak District are all right on its doorstep. And with fantastic Georgian architecture, beautiful gardens and estates and of course the greatest theme park in the United Kingdom, Staffordshire is certainty not a county to be missed.

From the South:
Leave the M6 at Junction 14 (signposted Stafford North and Eccleshall). Take the first left turning on to the A5013. Follow this road until you reach Eccleshall (5 miles). At the first mini island you reach, turn right. After 100yds you will reach another mini island, turn left here on to the High Street. About 300yds down the High Street on the left hand side is Peel House.

From the North:
Leave the M6 at Junction 15 (Signposted Stoke and Eccleshall). Turn right at the large island on to the A519 (signposted Eccleshall). Follow this road until you reach Eccleshall (10 miles). At the first mini island in Eccleshall turn right in to the High Street. About 300yds down the High Street on the left hand side is Peel House.
