Welcome to Fairlawn House near Stonehenge. Lynda & Colin, the present owners, purchased the hotel in late 2003 and have completely refurbished the building whilst still retaining the character of the house. Fairlawn House bed and breakfast (formerly Fovant House) was built in 1838 for local surgeon Mr George Best Batho and is now a Grade II listed building, which means it is a protected heritage site in England. Over the years the house has had many uses; a family home for Mr. Batho, a doctor's surgery for Doctor Charles Pyle, an auction house and an esteemed ladies finishing school to name just a few!
We have 13 en-suite bedrooms. Each bedroom is individually designed all have complimentary hospitality trays, flat screen tv with free view, free standing or desk top fans, no charge wifi and hairdryers. Curling tongs and hair straighteners are available at reception as is an iron and ironing board. A 24 hour laundry service is available on request.
Our beautiful lounge has lovely comfy comfortable leather sofas, we also have a library corner, which boasts an extensive library of guide books and a good supply of up to date brochures for some of the most popular and famous tourist areas, some within a short walk or drive from the house. The resident bar offers a good selection of bottled beers, lagers, soft drinks, sprits, and a good choice of single malts. |
