Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Located in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, Greenbank is a country house offering en suite ground floor accommodation, ample off road parking and a warm welcome. Its location is ideal for trips to places of interest around Wessex plus walking or cycling in the surrounding countryside.

Accommodation on offer is two non smoking en suite double rooms complete with HD free view televisions, radio alarm clocks, tea /coffee making facilities and BT Fon WiFi. Guests also have use of their own conservatory / lounge.

The house is set back from the road with ample off road parking and has a large country garden with various seating areas where you can sit back, relax and take in the tranquil surroundings. In the summer, weather permitting breakfast can be served on the patio. For lunches and evening meals there are a number of good traditional country pubs nearby serving excellent food. For details of these pubs or other eating establishments, please speak to Sue & Paul who will be only to happy to advise, should you wish to visit any of them.

 

Salisbury Attractions

 
The countryside within the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is ideal for those people who prefer walking and cycling. For guests wishing to go for walks in the Chalk Valley laminated copies of the Ordnace Survey Map are available.
 

B&B Location
 
Greenbank is easy to find, it is a red brick house located in the centre of the village 50 metres east of the Church and on the north side of Church Street. The frontage is fenced all round and has a circular drive with a large Oak tree to the left side of the entrance.

When coming from the Salisbury direction via Broadchalke stay on the main road leading into and through the Bowerchalke and locate to the centre of the village as detailed above.

When coming from the Blandford direction via Sixpenny Handley stay on the main road leading into and through the Bowerchalke and locate to the centre of the village as detailed above.

When coming from the Shaftsbury direction via Ebbesbourne Wake or Fovant you will enter the village on Quidham Street. Travel all of Quidham Street (approx 500m) to the road junction, then turn left on to Church Street and locate to the centre of the village as detailed above.

Nearest Public House/Bar: The Horseshoe Inn  (2.5  Miles)

Nearest Railway Station: Salisbury  (10  Miles)
