Full of old world charm and Devonshire character that dates as far back as to have a mention in the ‘Domesday’ book, we provide exceptionally clean, comfortable, value for money bed and breakfast accommodation with an old fashioned warm welcome and ample off road parking.

We have a glorious acre and a half of landscaped garden with swings, benches and a pet paddock with ducks, chickens and guinea pigs. There is open farmland including a private lake for trout fishing with rods available for hire which are children friendly.

We have a spacious, well appointed guest’s lounge. Well behaved dogs may be accepted out of high season by arrangement with us. Local information is provided onsite. There is an open ended recreation barn with table tennis, badminton and swingball.

All our rooms are on the first floor with access up 2 short staircases with hand rail. We regret we do not have en-suite as we do not wish to spoil or compromise the character of our traditional Devonshire Longhouse, but we do have three guest bathrooms to service 5 letting rooms and many of our rooms have a hand basin in addition. For a family of three or four we can offer the use of a private bathroom to serve a double room that is adjacent to a twin room which in turn is adjacent to an end of corridor bathroom.

For families with younger children we have a family room with hand basin and 1 double and 2 single beds. For couples ( or families with 1 child ) we have a double/twin room with hand basin and 1 double bed and 1 single bed. It is often possible out of high season to provide a private bathroom for couples depending upon availability. For single occupancy we have a small single room. All rooms are clean and well presented with LCD T.V with freeview, tea/coffee and hot chocolate making facilities.

Highly recommended full English Breakfasts served in the old beamed dining room from 8.30 to 9.00am Vegetarians catered for – prior advice at time of booking is appreciated.
