Minehead is known as the Gateway to Exmoor, the town sits beneath the dramatic landscape of Exmoor National Park and is sheltered by North Hill. In and around Minehead you will find many places of interest and facilities including a theatre, cinema, leisure pool, golf course, crazy golf, shops, supermarkets, Butlins entertainment resort and the West Somerset Railway, the longest remaining steam railway in the country. Minehead harbour is only a short walk away where sea cruises and fishing trips can be booked. Close by is Dunster a stunning medieval village, Selworthy, Porlock, Porlock Weir, Watchet which is an ancient harbour town and Blue Anchor Bay which are all well worth a visit.

The dramatic Exmoor coastline is 34 miles long and you can walk the South West Coastal path, which starts at Minehead taking in the views of this stunning coastline, if you want to walk the complete path it will take you around 40 days to arrive at Poole.
