Northcote Manor country house hotel in Devon provides a level of unsurpassed luxury, offering short breaks, last minute breaks, exclusive use weddings & weekend breaks. From the moment you arrive at Northcote Manor in North Devon, you experience the atmosphere of a cherished wisteria clad 18th century manor house. A studded oak door opens into a spacious hall, from here you can move through into the elegant drawing room or to the bay window of our Oak Room to enjoy the peaceful views across the sweeping lawns and woodlands.

Enjoy a traditional Devonshire Cream tea in front of crackling log fires or under the shade of a tree on our patio overlooking our Japanese water garden. Our twenty acres provide a gentle stroll through our apple orchards and walled garden before dinner. For those feeling more energetic our tennis court and croquet lawn are also available offering fantastic views over the Taw Valley.

Each of our eleven bedrooms have recently been redesigned by Pamela Viner to allow a wonderful elegance and comfort in which to rest. All our rooms are individually decorated to the highest standards to ensure a truly luxurious country house atmosphere. The bathrooms are tastefully fresh, there are good size baths and delightfully comfortable bathrobes tucked behind each door, Homemade Shortbread biscuits and delicious red apples ~ All just several small touches to help spoil you during your visit to Northcote Manor.

 

Umberleigh Attractions

 
Hidden away in the Devon Hills Northcote Manor is close to Exmoor national park and Dartmoor national Park. The rugged and dramatic North Devon Coast is just thirty minutes away by car and there are many quaint Devonshire villages and towns to visit full of fabulous cafés, shops and places of interest. RHS Gardens, National Trust properties and the villages of Lynton & Lynmouth with their cliff railway are to be found close by.
