Named after the line of beautiful hills cradling the south side of the Vale of Taunton, Blackdown is a light, spacious and attractive double room on the first floor enjoying delightful views across hedge and tree-lined farmland to the distant Mendip and Quantock hills to the front, and up to the ancient Castle Neroche forest at the rear of the house.
Named after the local parish and the nearby forest with its ancient motte and bailey site, Neroche is a light, spacious and tastefully furnished ground-floor double room with a full en suite bathroom. The room enjoys a delightful view across our garden and farmland to the tiered forest.
Named after the nearby village, Curland is a large, light and tastefully furnished twin room on the ground-floor, enjoying delightful views across hedge and tree-lined fields over the Somerset levels to the distant Mendip Hills. Curland is well suited for less mobile guests.
After a busy day why not try our excellent evening meals of two courses plus coffee which are very popular and highly recommended. Ann cooks traditional English meals and old-fashioned homemade puddings, for example, roast leg of lamb followed by cherry and almond tart. As an alternative to pudding guests may prefer to try delicious Styles farm house ice cream made on Exmoor or award winning Tower Farms cheese from Lydeard St Lawrence. |
