Bed and Breakfast Description

 

The exact age of Edgcott House is unknown, but it is one of the principal period houses around Exford, once owning the surrounding farmland and the substantial stables on the other side of the lane. Set well back from, and high above, the lane, the house faces South, nestling into the sloping grounds and mature woodland. With its sumptuous bedrooms and Long Room in which to to relax, Edgcott House has all you need to have an enjoyable stay in one of Britain's most picturesque National Parks.

We have 7 rooms at Edgcott House. All rooms are en-suite. We have 2 large doubles that can also be family rooms. 4 double rooms, one of which can be converted into a twin and 1 large single room. All of our rooms have an individual style and have 300 thread count linen and sumptuous towels for your comfort. We have complementary WiFi throughout the building and our rooms are equipped with all the facilities you would expect.

Dogs are allowed at Edgcott House. Only one per room and they must have well behaved owners. They must be clean before entering the building and any damage they may do must be paid for. We charge £10 per night for your dog to stay. Dogs may not be left unattended in rooms at any time.

We have stabling for 3 horses within the ground floor of our barn. We have space on the top floor of the barn for the storage of food and bedding. Stabling is on a DIY basis. We also have some paddocks for turnout for when the weather is being kind. We charge £15 per night for your horse to stay.

 

Minehead Attractions

 
Exmoor National Park straddles the counties of Devon and Somerset and contains stunning landscapes, moorland and villages. It covers 267 square miles and offers a plethora of activities to suit all visitors. Whether you come here for some exercise or to relax there are opportunities to indulge yourself in whatever your passion might be.

The park offers a wide range of wildlife, the most widely known are the Red Deer and the native Exmoor Ponies. Horse riders can enjoy the 480km of bridle paths, road cyclists can enjoy the challenging terrain, mountain bikers of all skill levels will find something to enjoy and those who enjoy country pursuits will not be disappointed.

At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on A358
Go through 1 roundabout 3.9 mi
