Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Gladwins Farm is set in 22 acres of rolling Suffolk overlooking the beautiful Stour Valley, making Gladwin's Farm the ideal location for an idyllic walking and family activity holiday in Suffolk.

Our quiet position and lovely views allow you to relax and enjoy our personal hospitality. Quality assessed at 4 Stars by VisitBritain, all the bedrooms are comfortably furnished. The residents' lounge area has its own colour TV, books, papers and magazines. B&B guests are welcome to use all our facilities. We are proud to use fresh produce from local farms and the village butcher, plus our own home-made preserves. Breakfast can be served on the terrace in the summer on fine mornings and we can accommodate special diets if required. Sorry, no smoking and no pets in the house. Guests are welcome to connect to our WiFi network.

 

Colchester Attractions

 
Gladwin's Farm is only half an hour from the seaside at elegant Frinton and only 50 minutes from London's bustling West End by train. We are an excellent base for any sort of holiday. You mustn't miss Constable Country's heritage villages; Kersey, Lavenham and Chelsworth are famous for half-timbered medieval houses and find 'wool churches' or Long Melford, renowned for its antique shops and the National Trust's Melford Hall.

Bustling Colchester, Britains oldest recorded town, is only 10 minutes away, or you could venture further afield and discover Cambridge's colleges or Norwich castle. Nayland is on the doorstep; its shops, Post Office, pub and restaurant are set in a jumble of colour-washed houses with overhanging eaves and an obelisk for a milestone. We are delighted to work with Colchester Zoo and can offer you discounted entry tickets.
