Ideally situated on the A140 close to the village of Eye in Suffolk and midway between Ipswich and Norwich, this delightful Coaching Inn dates back to the 17th Century and continues to offer the very best in hospitality to the weary traveller. With a past of over three centuries, The White Horse has had varied uses with a colourful and intriguing history. The Inn has had many uses, ranging from a Farm House, Coaching Inn and Public House to a Roadside Cafe! There have, of course been alterations and improvements to the Inn, but its beamed interior retains a warmly welcoming atmosphere. The fireplace in the downstairs restaurant seems to have been scarcely touched since its first owners used it, when it was probably the major source for heat, light and cooking.
In the grounds are spacious, comfortable motel bedrooms offering en suite facilities, FREE WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS, colour television with all freeview channels, Direct-dial telephone and hospitality tray. Enjoy a relaxing meal or drinks in either of our two bars. Families are more than welcome and our menus offer something for every taste.
