Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Welcome to Eveleigh House B&B, Beccles. Beccles boasts an excellent selection of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as the quay where there is an abundance of activity ranging from hiring a boat to fishing. Beccles also makes an ideal location to explore the surrounding area, including Southwold, the historic City of Norwich and the Suffolk Heritage Coast.

We have two en-suite rooms available. We have more than ample parking on our drive so why not leave your car and stroll out for the day or evening. A large shed to house your cycles and a dry cellar for you fishermen to put any equipment plus a fridge for your bait is also available. Dogs are not accepted as we have two small dogs of our own. We are a strictly non smoking home. We are open all year including Christmas and New Year. Collection of guests from the railway station by arrangement.

 

Beccles Attractions

 
Big Dog Ferry - A relaxing 45 minute journey to the legendary Geldeston Locks Pub along the best of the river Waveney. Magical experience!

Liana (Boat Trip) - A trip on the Liana offers Edwardian style, travelling from Beccles along the River Waveney. Trips go towards Geldeston or Aldeby depending on tides.

Raveningham Gardens - Extensive gardens surrounding an elegant Georgian house provide the setting for many rare, variegated and unusual plants and shrubs with sculptures, parkland and a church.

Beccles and District Museum - Leman House is a Grade 1 listed building; the museum houses a range of exhibits relating to Beccles, its surrounding villages & countryside, their industries, social life, health care & wildlife.

Moo Play Farm - Adventure Park/Playground, Lowestoft.

Suffolk Apple Juice and Cider Place - Traditional apple pressing equipment can be seen ready for use. Explanations given on its use and quality single apple juices and ciders can be sampled and bought.
