Bed and Breakfast Description |
| |
|
With ample Free Parking and Patio Garden this delightful 17th Century Coaching Inn once had extensive stabling to provide fresh draught horses for travellers. Whites Directory of Suffolk (1844) states “Coaches pass eight times a day to Norwich, Bury St Edmunds and London”. Following the extensive renovation The Bell Inn was awarded a Four Diamond rating by the East of England Tourist Board in July 1999. “Upon arrival you cannot help but leave the stress of every day life behind you."
The Bell Inn offers 8 fully en-suite bedrooms. There are a variety of room types including a Four-Poster Suite, Doubles, Twins and Family Rooms. All of our bedrooms provide an excellent level of comfort and are fully equipped with Colour Television, Radio Clock Alarms, Hospitality Tray, Guest Directory of Services and Hair Dryer.
The Bell Inn prides itself on offering a wide range of culinary delights, whether taken in the informal atmosphere of the Bar Lounge or in our Fine Dining Restaurant “The Chimes” located immediately adjacent to the Lounge. Our Head Chef Andy Gibbons will create dishes either from our Restaurant Menu serving the finest English and Continental foods using the freshest local ingredients or from our Bar Menu with an extensive range of locally sourced home cooked seasonal fare.
Within the “Olde Worlde” Bar Lounge, complete with Original Oak Beamed Ceiling, Roaring Log Fire and Separate Pool Table Area, there is ample, comfortable seating and plenty of Picture History from around the Village in times gone past. The Bar itself sells a wide range of Keg Beers including the much sought after Adnam’s Cask Ale along with Spirits, Wines, Aperitifs, Liqueurs and Soft Drinks. |
