Bed and Breakfast Description |
| |
|
The Inn has been used as a smithy, a brew house, petrol station, a prison and a haunt for the feared press gangs. The area was recorded in the Domesday book.
Now the REALLY GOOD news, as we are at sea level at the bottom of this beautiful valley your mobile phone WILL NOT WORK, really, next to no signal at all. In fact; Orange nothing until you get to Ashprington, Three, not until you get to Totnes, T Mobile some signal in the back car park and for some strange reason in the wash up, and Vodaphone some signal next to the river, but really why would you? All rooms have direct dial telephones so relax, put the phone in your room and forget about work!
We have 15 beautiful well appointed en suite rooms with large bathrooms and powerful showers in the annexe and spacious powerful shower rooms over the inn. We offer FREE Wi-Fi throughout. Other room facilities include tea and coffee making facilities, laundry service, hair dryers and 11 television and radio channels. |

B&B Location

Whether you choose to travel M4 or A303 you will eventually end up on the M5, so the directions are from there. The M5 finishes at junction 31, stay in right hand lane and follow the signs to Plymouth. The road becomes A38 (Devon Expressway). Stay on this road until you see the sign for Totnes, also Buckfastleigh and Butterfly Farm. At the end of the slip road turn left and Totnes is clearly signposted all the way. When you come into Totnes, at first traffic lights turn right, signposted Dartmouth, A381. Straight over the next lights and carry on up hill, about 3/4 mile you will see a sign to turn left for Ashprington, Bow Bridge and Tuckenhay and there is also a brown sign for The Waterman's Arms. Stay on the lane for about 2 and a half miles and you come to a crossroads follow the signs to Ashprington when you get to the memorial, which is a stone cross, turn right and keep on through village, always heading downhill. Keep going downhill and we are over the bridge at the bottom.
