Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Fieldview was built in 1993 by a South African Family, and as a consequence it is very much in the style of a South African Villa, this means Fieldview is light and airy. The House is divided into two halves, The smaller right hand side is the living accommodation for the staff, that is Simon, Christine and Andrew, Christine's husband. The left hand side of the house is the guest accommodation which comprises five letting rooms, a breakfast room two bathrooms apart from the en-suite bathrooms and a kitchen.

We are well placed for Birdwatchers, Cyclists, Ramblers & Naturalists. We are only 2 miles from Walsingham, 4 miles from Thusford and 7 miles from the coast. Come for a holiday, weekend break or just visit for the evening. Bring all the family, there is so much for everyone in North Norfolk. As featured on ITV's 'Country Lives.'

 

Fakenham Attractions

 
East Barsham is an ideal base for exploring the birding hotspots along the North Norfolk coast, as well as giving easy access to the Brecks and Broadland areas. However, it also has its own birding interest year round and as such makes a useful centre for visiting birdwatchers who wish to get to grips with some of the commoner Norfolk specialities. The village is surrounded by agricultural land but pockets of mixed woodland add further interest and the river stiffkey which flows through the area has some interesting water meadows as well as stands of Alder and Poplar along its flanks. A bird ringing station is situated on private water meadows opposite East Barsham Manor, though this habitat can be viewed from the roadside particularly from the bridge over the river. Approx 1500 birds per year are processed at the site with currently over 50 species ringed out of the 100 or so species recorded around the village.
