Bury St Edmunds, a Medieval market town, with its surrounding countryside and villages is a lovely place to visit at any time of the year.

Some of the places of interest are: The Cathedral, The Abbey ruins and the beautiful gardens, The Norman Tower, the Georgian Theatre Royal, the Green King Brewery, the traditional twice weekly market, many shops of individual character and the new shopping centre, Arc.

Nearby there are the medieval towns of Lavenham, Long Melford, Sudbury, Cambridge, the National Trust Historic House of Ickworth, The English Heritage Historic Melford Hall, Kentwell Hall are open to the public from Easter to October.

For the Nature enthusiasts there are many walking and cycling paths and bird watching reserves.

At first crossroads go straight for a few yards into Orchard Street and we are there on your left hand side.
