Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Have a warm comfortable stay in the 3 star Arrandale Guest House which offers spacious accommodation in a refurbished Victorian villa built 100 years ago which retains some lovely features from that era.

We offer accommodation in six rooms for singles, twins, doubles and families. We also have 2 ground floor rooms and 4 rooms with a garden view. Discounts are available during some periods. All our bedrooms have an en suite or private bathroom, colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities and a hairdryer.

For the guests’ use, there is internet access, facilities for sending/receiving faxes, ironing facilities and a phone.

There is parking for cars and bikes. We have one parking place immediately in front of the guest house. There is free parking at all times in a side street about 20 metres from the guest house. At weekends you can park in the street in front of the guest house.

 

Edinburgh Attractions

 
The Arrandale Guest House is conveniently located for most of Edinburgh’s major attractions and is just over one mile from the city centre.

Directions from the station - You could travel from the railway station to the guest house by taxi. There are taxis in the train station and it would cost about £6. You could also take the bus which costs around £1 pound per person. The bus stop is in Princes Street on the north side of the road, where there are shops. Take bus no 3, 29, 31 or 37 and get off in Mayfield Gardens - the bus stop after the Minto Hotel.

Directions from the airport - You could take a taxi from the airport to the guest house for about £17. There is a shuttle bus which runs from the airport to the guest house - for more details go to www.edinburghshuttle.com

There is also the airport bus which goes from the airport to the city centre for £3.50 return per person - for more details go to www.flybybus.com/, From the city centre to the guest house, you could take a taxi which would cost about £6. You could also take the bus which costs £1 pound per person. The bus stop is in Princes Street on the north side of the road, where there are shops. Directions by road - From the outskirts of the city, take A720 city bypass to the south of the city.
Then take A701 or A772 to the city centre. Go straight on at every junction and after 5 miles, you are in Mayfield Gardens and Arrandale Guest House is on left hand side. If you have any problem finding the guest house, please phone and we will be happy to help you.
