Green Acres was established in 1997 and is situated in the peaceful countryside on the outskirts of the quaint village of Kettlesing, 6 miles west of the Victorian spa town of Harrogate. We aim to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Many of our guests say it is one of “Yorkshire’s best kept secret Bed & Breakfasts", choosing to return year after year. The Bed & Breakfast suite consists of a private entrance into the fully equipped kitchen. Here you will find a well-stocked hospitality tray of beverages. The fridge is stocked with milk, fruit juices and water. Guests also have the option of self-catering.

The lounge is furnished to a high standard and has a Flat Screen Freeview Television and two comfortable chairs. Wireless Internet access (Wi-Fi) is also provided. The spacious double bedroom is light and airy, having a very comfortable bed with beautifully laundered Egyptian cotton sheets & pillow slips. Soft fluffy towels and dressing gowns are provided, together with a variety of quality toiletries in the en-suite shower room. Fresh flowers compliment the “home from home” feel, as well as adding to the overall ambience.

All rooms have central heating radiators, which have thermostatic controls in each room and the lounge has the added bonus of a log fire, which is a welcoming sight when you return after a hard days' sightseeing. Many of our guests choose to prepare their own evening meal and sit cosily at the dining table adjacent to the crackling fire instead of going out to dine. We offer a complimentary sherry and brandy decanter. Enjoy a delicious hearty breakfast to set you up for the day. We try to use all local produce wherever possible, together with our own free range eggs from our flock of hens which roam freely in the paddock. We also offer a packed lunch if needed.

 

Harrogate Attractions

 
We are ideally positioned for those who want a relaxing, quiet holiday, or equally for those who wish to walk in the Yorkshire Dales, or just sight-see. Close by are the market towns of Skipton, Ripon and Knaresborough. Grassington, the Bronte Country of Howarth, Emmerdale & Heartbeat Countryside, Ripley, RHS Harlow Carr Gardens and Harewood House are all within easy reach. The cosmopolitan cities of York and Leeds are a short drive away.

Harrogate is a wealthy elegant Victorian spa town with an array of up-market shops; a museum which lets you sample the “medicinal” spa waters which has been used to treat people for various ailments over the years; the Turkish baths; the International Centre which attracts visitors for conferences, trade fairs and exhibitions, as well as entertainment. There is a variety of restaurants to cater for all tastes in and around the town, together with numerous nightclubs and bars.

Turn right at A59/Holgate Rd

At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A661/Wetherby Rd 2.3 mi
