We accept payment in cash. All or some rooms have ensuite facilities. We have fishing opportunities nearby. Garden and/or patio area for guests There are horse riding facilities nearby. We have on-site parking.
We have a residents lounge. We have a restaurant. There are scenic walks in the surrounding area. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms have TV. Our BNB is a working farm.

Bed and Breakfast Description


Greys Well Farmhouse B & B offers two double rooms and one twin room each with large en suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, Freeview TV, radio/alarm clock, C D player and breath-taking views. Breakfast in the Lounge/Dining room with traditional fireplace and solid oak flooring. South-facing private decked garden also available with glorious views of the Wear Valley and surrounding countryside.

We are pleased to provide evening meal by prior arrangement. We like to offer home cooked, seasonal farmhouse dishes. Two courses from £12.00 per head. Our lovely small holding has a handful of Horses, Maylandlea Gundogs and Christmas poultry. Come in the winter and we will be pleased to show you how to pluck and oven prepare poultry or game such as pheasant, partridge and rabbit.


Bishop Auckland Attractions

Tranquility and spectacular scenery or local attractions such as Durham City, Beamish Open Air Museum, Killhope Lead Mining Centre, Weardale Railway, the market towns of Barnard Castle, Corbridge and Hexham are all within easy reach. The hilly nature of the Wear Valley provides medium difficulty walking. Walking routes are available.

Weardale Railway - The only heritage railway based on part of the Stockton and Darlington Railway line.

Hamsterley Forest - A delightful oasis of woodland, sprawling along the sides of a sheltered valley.

Bowes Museum - A compact historic city - a wide range of facilities from castle, cathedral, shops and restaurants.

Witton Castle Lakes - Premier trout fisheries of the North East of England. Situated in the grounds of Witton Castle.

Barnard Castle - Busy market town with attractive and diverse architecture. Developed where the Roman road crossed the River Tees.

Corbridge - known for its quaintness and unique boutique shops and is a lovely place to explore.

Hexham - overlooking the beautiful Tyne valley with medieval buildings forming an imposing skyline.

Stanhope - This is a lovely, bustling little stone built town is set amidst the charm of Weardale.

Go through 5 roundabouts 5.1 mi
Turn right toward Gladstone Terrace 0.2 mi
Continue straight onto Gladstone Terrace 0.3 mi
Continue on Long Ln 1.7 mi
Long Ln turns slightly left and becomes Cobey's Carr Ln 0.7 mi
