Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Stanley Lodge Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast is a small, family run guest house. We have 3 bedrooms: an ensuite double, & a double and single which share a bathroom. The rooms have recently been refurbished and are tastefully decorated with furniture from yesteryear. Stanley Lodge is not a working farm, although we are surrounded by green fields and all our comfortable, spacious accommodation has views over open countryside to the imposing Bowland Fells beyond.

In the Forest of Bowland and Wyre countryside countless delightful villages await exploration and there is so much to see and do in this beautiful corner of England that you will hardly have time to relax in our comfortable residents lounge and enjoy a cup of tea and some homemade cake!

 

Lancaster Attractions

 
We are situated 11/2 miles south of Junction 33 off the M6 and our proximity to excellent transport links means that guests have easy access to the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Blackpool (via the picturesque coastal road).

The stunning sunsets over Morecambe Bay can be seen from Glasson Dock (the oldest working dock in England), which is reached by either a short drive or a pleasant walk along the canal towpath.
The charming and historic market town of Garstang is close by with its traditional weekly street market and lovely riverbank or canalside walks.

Morecambe is only a short distance away and offers the classic seaside experience with its superb new Promenade and Stone Jetty. Don't miss the Eric Morecambe statue! Morecambe is also justly famed for having some of the best migratory birdwatching in the country.

Turn left at A683 (signs for Hornby/Bentham/Kirkby Lonsdale/A683/Caton) 0.2 mi
Turn right onto the ramp to Blackpool/Preston/M55 0.3 mi
Merge onto M6 5.8 mi
At junction 33, exit toward A6 0.5 mi
Continue straight 499 ft
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A6/Preston Lancaster Rd heading to Blackpool/Fleetwood/Garstang 1.1 mi
Slight right at Cockerham Rd
Destination will be on the right 0.5 mi
