Bed and Breakfast Description

 

A charming and cosy 18th century cottage in the heart of Loch Lomond. Our aim is to provide you with a quiet and relaxed stay in beautiful surroundings in this stunning part of Scotland.

We are very close to the West Highland Way and Rob Roy Way, and so ideally situated for walking, cycling and sight seeing. Loch Lomond is 5 minutes drive, with the Trossachs being 15 mins away. Boat trips are available in the area on Loch Lomond and Loch Katrine. Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument are 30 mins by car.

Our rooms are very tastefully decorated with hospitality trays provided. A hairdyer/iron can be provided. Double glazing and central heating. A choice of breakfasts is included, sourced locally where possible. We can cater for vegetarians if you advise when booking. Wi-fi is available if you bring your own laptop.

A warm welcome on arrival along with tea/coffee to help you settle in. The guest lounge has a TV and real log fire for cooler months, and we also have a drying room for boots and rucksacks.

Evening meals can be taken in Drymen at a number of local pubs. Drymen also has local shops, art gallery, Post office and cash point.

You can find us 0.7 miles from Drymen by taking the Balmaha/Rowardennan road from the centre of Drymen village. On reaching Buchanan Smithy, the cottage is the third house from the end on the right.

Drymen can be reached from the A811 from Stirling, or by taking the M8 to the Erskine Bridge, following the signs for Loch Lomond. Take the A811 from Balloch.

Nearest Railway Station: Ballcoh  (12  Miles)
