We have a residents bar. There is a beach nearby. Our establishment is fitted with central heating throughout. Cots available on request. All or some rooms have ensuite facilities. Garden and/or patio area for guests

Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Catering mainly for couples and young families, we are open all year round. There is en-suite accommodation in every room to make your stay as pleasant as possible. All our rooms are colour co-ordinated to the highest standard and rooms are serviced on a daily basis. There are tea and coffee facilities in every room as well as a colour TV. A full length mirror and hairdryer are also provided. For those of you with very small children we can supply a cot.

We have a comfortably furnished lounge in which you can relax either reading a paper or watching the large colour television. There is also a video with a large selection of videos and boardgames for all the family. Meals are served in our light and airy dining-room. With a large Breakfast Menu to cater for all tastes you'll be ready for the day ahead. We can provide a daily evening meal if required (excl. Bank Holidays). It is a set menu that changes daily, special diets can also be catered for. Please do ask us about this option.

Being licensed, The Westdea has a cosy cellar bar. Here you can enjoy an evening drink with a variety of wares from the well stocked bar. A widescreen TV is located here too. There is also a pool table for the more elite sportsperson!

 

Blackpool Attractions

 
With The Westdean as your base, you can explore all the wonderful things that Blackpool has that will entertain everyone - both young and old. Probably the most famous attraction is Blackpool Tower and Circus which can provide a whole days worth of fun for all. Dare you take 'The Walk'? Blackpool's very own Zoo has a wide and varied menagerie of both the exotic and the unusual and is also a not to be missed attraction. There is also Dinosaur World alongside.

A walk along the Promenade is also something all will enjoy. Not only are there numerous shops and stalls but there are also the three piers - North, Central and South. Heading South from the latter you will find numerous works of art to look and listen to. There are also some fantastic visitor attractions including: Sea-Life, Louis Tussauds Waxworks, The Dr. Who Exhibition, Ripley's Believe It or Not...and more!!

The Pleasure Beach will do just as it says with some great rides - including a host of old favourites and new white knucklers. Theatres abound in Blackpool and you'll easily find something to entertain all ages. At The Westdean there are brochures to be found which can help you to choose a show or artiste to your liking.

DIRECTIONS FROM M55
When approaching the end of the M55, jct4 / A583, follow the signs for the main Coach & Car parks which brings you down Yeadon Way. At the ALDI roundabout turn right to follow the road round to the traffic lights. At the lights turn left and proceed to next set of lights staying in the left hand lane. Turn left here onto Lytham Road and Dean Street is second on the right.

DIRECTIONS FROM BLACKPOOL SOUTH RAIL STATION
It is just a 10 minute walk from our nearest rail station, Blackpool South, which has connections to / from Preston. Upon leaving the platform, by way of either the steps or the ramp up to the road, turn left down to traffic lights. Turn left here onto Lytham Road and Dean Street is second on the right.
