We offer comfortable en-suite bed and breakfast accommodation making ‘Charnwood’ the perfect stay for the discerning tourist and businessperson alike.

Breakfast at ‘Charnwood’ can be as little or as much as you can manage. Low fat and vegetarian alternatives always on the menu. We have private enclosed parking, fully central heated rooms and internet access. All rooms have Sky TV, en-suite facilities, hospitality tray, T.V & video and hair dryer. ‘Charnwood’ operates a no smoking policy.

Nestled in the loop of the river Severn this picturesque medieval town holds a wealth of historic buildings and museums.

You can spend a wonderful day exploring and shopping in the many individual and specialist shops which are tucked between and behind the famous high street names we all know and love.

Then why not discover the beauty and tranquility of a river cruise? Boarding is just 2 minutes from the shops. Maybe a freshly brewed coffee in one of the street café’s takes your fancy, or lunch in one of the many bars and restaurants which Shrewbury boasts.

Shrewsbury is superbly situated for you to enjoy the surrounding area. To the west the Welsh Border Counties and Snowdonia provide excellent walking and beautiful scenery, as do the magnificent Shropshire Hills to the south where a day trip could include a visit to the historic town of Ludlow.

Ironbridge is only a half hours drive away and is a fabulous day out. Home of the Industrial Revolution it has a variety of working museums, Blists hill being a must to visit.
