The guest house, an Edwardian Gentlemen's residence built in 1905, is full of the charm and character that epitomised the Edwardian era and the nostalgic feel is complemented by original fireplaces and period furnishings.
We are conveniently located a 10 minute walk from the town centre and all major transport routes are nearby. The historical Shrewsbury Abbey Church, home of the fictional Brother Cadfael, is just around the corner, along with plenty of restaurants, pubs, supermarkets and a multi screen Cinema. Other attractions nearby include Shrewsbury Castle and the world heritage site of Ironbridge is only 14 miles away.
All rooms have very comfortable beds, free WiFi internet access, LCD Digital TV, DVD and CD players as well as luxury touches including fluffy white dressing gowns, quality organic toiletries and large soft towels. Welcome trays are well stocked with quality refreshments including herbal teas, hot chocolate, bottled water and biscuits.
We offer a delicious cooked English breakfast, and cater for vegetarian, low fat and coeliac diets. We use locally sourced food of good quality. A microwave and refrigerator are located in the dining room for guest use, and chilled bottled water is supplied freely during the summer months.
We are located in a residential area and free on street parking is available. Other services include: ironing facilities, a baggage store, bicycle storage and a wealth of knowledge on the local area.
