Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Having recently been refurbished by Mike and Linda, The White House offers first class bed and breakfast accommodation in comfortable surroundings. A buffet breakfast is available for guests who have early departures and a full cooked breakfast is available for those guests who have a more leisurely start to the day, both served in the comfortable surroundings at The White House.

An evening meal is available at our nearby pub, The Lion and Lamb, which is also owned by Mike and Linda and is just a 2-minute drive away where food is served all day until 10.00pm. To assist you during your stay with us, The White House offers, subject to availability, free transportation to the Lion and Lamb.

Having been awarded 4 Yellow Stars by the AA for it's outstanding facilities and service and the prestigious Enjoy England Silver Award, The White House is also highly recommended by the prestigious Johansens Guide and the English Tourist Board.

The White House is conveniently situated for easy access to East Anglia's many attractions including Hatfield Forest National Trust, Duxford Imperial War Museum, Cambridge and Newmarket Races as well as the City of London by road or rail.

On roundabout, take the B1256, towards Travel four miles across traffic light cross roads
The White House is 400 yards past the traffic lights on the left hand side, just opposite carpet shop.
The Lion and Lamb is on the same road, 1 mile further on the left hand side
Please call us on (01279) 870257, 30 minutes before arrival if you are going straight to the White house to ensure we are there to greet you.

Directions from the East:
Leave the A120 at Dunmow West
Take the B1256 towards Takeley
The Lion and Lamb is just two miles on the right hand side
You'll find the White House one mile further on the right hand side, just beyond Smiths Green
