Our establishment is fitted with central heating throughout. All or some rooms have ensuite facilities. Garden and/or patio area for guests There are golf facilitiesor nearby. There is a leisure centre nearby. We accept all cards that display the Mastercard logo.

Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Run by a former hotelier Reg and his partner Angela (a French speaker) both take great pride in making their guests welcome and comfortable.

Well appointed relaxing rooms, all with private en suite facilities, one of which is a ground floor family room. A no smoking establishment. Sorry but no pets or children under 8 years of age. All rooms have central heating, colour TV, ironing and tea and coffee facilities.

Full English or Continental breakfast is served in the guest’s delightful breakfast room on weekdays from 7.30 a.m. until 8.30 a.m. At weekends breakfast is served from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. Catering for business, leisure and tourist visitors we are flexible and happy, as far as possible, to accommodate your specific requirements.

 

Royston Attractions

 
Both Angela and Reg have a wide local knowledge of the area and are happy to direct their guests to any of the many local attractions including: the Imperial War Museum, Duxford; Cambridge City, University town and Botanical Gardens; Newmarket, the home of English horseracing; Historic houses of Hatfield House, Knebworth House and Audley End at Saffron Walden; The National Trust’s Wicken Fen, Anglesea Abbey and Wimpole Estate and Home Farm; the RSPB have local reserves at Sandy and Fowlmere.

There are 5 full size golf courses within 5 miles of Hillside House Royston. Also there are several par 3 courses nearby. A brand new leisure centre with indoor swimming pool is 2 miles away and there are many local country walks: the Icknield Way Roman Road walk passes close to our grounds and Therfield Heath nature reserve is only 2 miles away.

There is a mainline railway service from Royston to London Kings Cross and Cambridge. Also near to bus stop for connections to London Luton, Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
