Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Anstey Grove Barn in set in an idyllic rural setting, a converted barn providing high quality bed and breakfast accommodation in the heart of the tranquil and beautiful Hertfordshire countryside.

We offer 2 Twin and 4 Double rooms (including 1 master suite with four-poster bed, bathroom with free standing roll top bath, shower and seperate WC). There is also a large lounge area with comfortable sofas, stocked with books, local literature, games and a large wood-burning stove. Guests can also enjoy use of our private walled garden to barbeque, play Boules or watch the sunset, weather permitting.

 

Buntingford Attractions

 
The villages and countryside surrounding Anstey provide a wealth of opportunities to appreciate English country life at its best: a wealth of local pubs providing real beer and good food, olympic clay pigeon shooting in the neighbouring village of Nuthampstead, and extensive nature trails and extensive footpath network across the meadows and woods of Hertfordshire, including “The Herts Way.”

The winding country lanes also make for excellent cycling and we can help you arrange your cycle hire for your stay. There is a huge array of local history to discover, from the Norman church and castle mound in the village itself to the former second world war American bomber station which has a memorial stone at the local public house.

Located in the village of Anstey, Anstey Grove Barn nestles in the heart of the idyllic Hertfordshire countryside surrounded by fields, meadows and great country pubs, yet is easily accessible from London, Cambridge or Stansted Airport. We are situated 15 miles from Cambridge and 12 miles from Stansted Airport.

When entering the village of Anstey from the west (Buntingford/A10) proceed through village keeping to to main road through village, past church on left, pub(Blind Fiddler) on right, keep on for about another mile towards village of Meesden and we are just under a mile from Blind Fiddler on the right. LOOK OUT FOR THE WHITE PIG!!!!
