The Old School House is the perfect location for business or pleasure being equidistant from Bedford, Kimbolton and the A1 at St Neots. Palmer Motorsports, the College Equestrian Centre, the Bedford Butterfly Farm, Monster Events, Twinwoods and the WWII Airfield trail are close by.
The Garden Suite consists of a light and airy double bedroom, en-suite shower and toilet and a private sitting room. On the ground floor, it has its own entrance overlooking the garden and paddocks. A patio area outside the sitting room leads to the gardens. The attractively furnished sitting room, with sofa bed, has a dining area where breakfast is served. A cot is available for babes in arms.
Your suite has colour TV, radio/alarm clock, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer and central heating with a selection of books, magazines and board games. A local information folder in your room includes details of restaurants, pubs and other attractions in the area.
A delicious and varied breakfast, sourced from local suppliers wherever possible, is cooked to order. The Old School House is fortunate to be located in an area where there are several restaurants and good pubs which offer meals in the evenings. Again a list is of these is located in both rooms.
There is off road secure parking and a lockable cycle store. A boot room and drying area is also available for walkers and cyclists. By prior arrangement we can also offer stabling for up to two horses in our own stable block. The Old School House is a non-smoking establishment and regretfully is normally unable to accommodate pets. |

Near to the Old School House we are lucky to have the equestrian centre at Keysoe, Monster Events and Palmersports at Thurleigh and Sporting Targets at Riseley.
Just over thirty miles from London, Bedfordshire is the gateway to both the Midlands and East Anglia. The county's towns are an interesting mix of the modern and the historic - Milton Keynes and Woburn couldn't be more different. But what else does the county have to offer? In no particular order, here are our suggestions for things to do in Bedfordshire:
Woburn Safari Park, Woburn - World famous safari park with every species of animal you could wish to see. Highly recommended.
Woburn Abbey, Abbey - Perhaps Bedfordshire’s most famous landmark, Woburn Abbey is just stunning on the inside as it is from the outside.
Shuttleworth Collection, Biggleswade - a brilliant collection of aircraft, motorcars, motorcycles and much much more. If you like aviation, you wont find a better day out than a visit to Shuttleworth.
Stondon Motor Museum, Lower Stondon - huge collection of motor vehicles with nearly 500 cars on display some of which date back to the late 19th century.
Whipsnade Animal Park, Dunstable - Set in over 600 acres of beautiful Bedfordshire countryside, Whipsnade is one of the most popular attractions in England. With over 2,500 animals it's amongst the best animal parks in the world. |
