Bakewell Attractions

Normanhurst is situated on the edge of the market town of Bakewell, close to the picturesque village of Ashford in the Water and surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in the Peak District. Bakewell offers a good variety of shops, pubs and a range of restaurants to suit most tastes.

Just a few miles from the stately homes of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall. Close to historic villages such as Eyam and Edensor. Surrounded by miles of country lanes, bridleways and footpaths, accessed from the door, making this the perfect location for walking, mountain biking and cycling. The Monsal, Tissington and High Peak trails are close by and ideal for those looking for some less strenuous exercise. The local millstone edges and limestone crags offer some of the best rock climbing in Britain.
