Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Kelling House is a charming stone Bed and Breakfast situated just outside Grantham, Lincolnshire in the conservation village of Barkston. The bedrooms, one double with a private bathroom and one twin/double with an en suite shower, are quiet, comfortable and attractively furnished. Television and tea and coffee making facilities are available in both bedrooms.

 

Grantham Attractions

 
Kelling House is perfectly placed to explore the Lincolnshire Wolds with nearby attractions Belton House, Belvoir Castle and Burghley House on the doorstep. Historic and fascinating cities such as Lincoln and Peterborough are within easy reach as well as the magnificent Southwell Minster, RAF Cranwell and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, these can all be explored from this exquisite base.
 

B&B Location
 
Being in such close proximity to Grantham, Barkston has excellent transport links. The A1 and Grantham train station (with direct trains to London, Nottingham, Manchester, York, Liverpool) are both located within 4 miles.

From A1
From the Gonerby Moor junction, take the B1174 towards Grantham. As you approach the top of the hill, turn left along Belton Lane. (Follow National Trust signs for Belton House). At the end of Belton Lane, turn left on the A607 towards Belton and Barkston. In Barkston, take the second left on to West Street opposite The Stag pub.

From Sleaford
Take the A153 to Grantham. On entering Barkston, take the first right after the garage. (Opposite The Stag pub)

From Grantham
Take the A607 to Barkston via Belton. On passing the 30 mph sign take second left into West Street.

Kelling House is a long stone cottage on the left hand side of the lane, opposite a green cottage. The entrance is at the furthest end of the house.
