Bed and Breakfast Description

Florence and Jim Shanks welcome you to 11 Moray Place which forms part of a Georgian terrace in the centre of Edinburgh's splendid New Town. You will find a "Home from Home" here whilst you enjoy exploring our wonderful City.

11 Moray Place forms part of a Georgian terrace in the centre of Edinburgh's New Town which has been described as one of the finest examples of Georgian Architecture in Britain.

We are only three streets from Princes Street with various well known department stores on one side of the street and magnificent gardens on the other. Walk through the gardens and stop to admire the floral clock (now 100 years old) before visiting the newly refurbished and enlarged National Gallery of Scotland. From there you can continue up the Mound and explore the many features of the medieval town - the castle, St Giles Cathedral, Holyrood Palace and much more.

One suite containing a bedroom (king-sized double bed), shower room and sitting room which can easily accommodate a full size single divan so that a family of three can share the suite in comfort. All the rooms of this suite overlook the River Forth to the hills of Fife.

One large double bed/sitting room with two twin beds which can be linked to form a kingsize bed and en-suite shower room. This is a large room with a very fine view with comfortable seating.

One large double bed/sitting room with twin beds which can be linked to form a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room.

There is ample parking opposite the house at a charge of £1 per hour between the hours of 8.30am and 6.30pm. There is also all-day parking, available at £7 for 24 hours, to which we direct our guests once they are settled.
