Bed and Breakfast Description

 

At the end of a quiet rural driveway discover the delightful Old Brewery House set in a quiet hamlet. The stream that once fed the old brewery now flows gently through the large orchard garden and alongside the terrace and conservatory.

Inside, the 18th century family house offers a comfortable, relaxing retreat with antique furnishings and log fires. The tastefully decorated ensuite bedroom, with lovely garden views, has a king size bed with Egyptian cotton linen, and thoughtful touches of drinks tray with handmade biscuits, fresh milk and bottled water. In the spacious bathroom you can enjoy the luxury of an enormous rolltop bath or separate shower, and fluffy towels, luxury toiletries and bathrobes.

A hearty Cumbrian breakfast, complete with freshly squeezed orange juice and home baked bread can be enjoyed on the streamside terrace on sunny mornings, and will help set you up to enjoy the many delights of the local area.

Grange-Over-Sands Attractions

 
Very close at hand there is Humphrey Head, Holker Hall and Cartmel village with the ancient Priory, racecourse, Michelin starred restaraurant and famous village shop (home of Sticky Toffee pudding) Local charming towns of Grange over Sands and Kirkby Lonsdale, historic houses Levens Hall and Sizergh Castle, and all the attractions of the Lake district are within very easy reach, Windermere lake being 15 minutes drive away.

You can walk to the local pub (5 mins) for good food. Many other fantastic eating places within easy striking distance. We know the Lake District well, and enjoy helping guests make the most of the area.

From Junction 36 of the M6, follow signs to Grange-o-Sands via the A590 west. Follow the B5277 through Grange-o-Sands and Allithwaite Village. As you are about to leave Allithwaite the road narrows to one lane, immediately after this turn first left (sign posted Humphrey Head). Then take first left after 150 yards to The Old Bewery House.
