Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Abbey Farm is a quiet, comfortable base in the heart of the midlands whether you’re on business or taking a break – and within easy reach of Midland towns and cities and motorways. We provide quality bed & breakfast and self-catering accommodation in a converted Victorian brick and slate barn, which is one third of a mile from the road, surrounded by fields. There is ample parking, some under cover and secure. The barn is light and airy, decorated in neutral tones with exposed brick walls and wooden beams. All rooms are en-suite and have wireless network access. We farm sympathetically with wildlife. A planned walk will take you through the fruit orchards, past the asparagus beds to where the sheep graze by a small lake. Alternatively relax in the walled garden and enjoy the flowers.

The bed & breakfast rooms are in the main house. One has twin beds and the other a double and a single, making an ideal family room. They have television, and tea and coffee making facilities are provided. The rooms are en-suite with a shower. Our delicious full English breakfast is included, using local food as available. Expect strawberries and raspberries and other soft fruit when in season, straight from the farm! Compotes of farm fruits are available throughout the year. All rooms have wireless network access.

This is a convenient venue for the N.E.C. and N.I.A. Birmingham, N.A.C. Stonleigh, Shakespeare country, Mallory Park and Stoney Cove, and midland fishing lakes especially ‘Makins’.
 

B&B Location
 
From Junction 1 of the M69 take the B4109 towards Wolvey. We are one mile from the roundabout on the left, approximately 30 metres before the first left hand turn towards Lutterworth. Drive carefully down the farm track for about 400 metres then turn left into the farm drive under the horse chestnut trees.
