Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Welcome to Uplands Guest House, where rooms are comfortable and well appointed with colour T.V., radio alarm clock and tea/coffee making facilities. With a 3 Star Rating from both the A.A. and Visit England and recommendations in both "Which" and "Rough Guides", you can be assured of comfort, cleanliness and hospitality. An excellent English or Continental style breakfast is served in the large, sunny breakfast room and special diets can be catered for. Packed lunches are available on request and evening meals by prior arrangement. Children are welcome. There is ample off street parking for guests arriving by car.

 

Frinton-On-Sea Attractions

 
Uplands makes an ideal base for holiday makers of all ages. Frinton itself is a quiet, safe and friendly Edwardian resort, offering a peaceful, traditional holiday by the sea. The surrounding Essex countryside has much to offer visitors to the area, from the lively resorts of Clacton and Walton just along the coast to the historic Naval port of Harwich. The Roman Capital of Colchester is just twenty minutes away by road or train and boasts a large modern shopping centre, several museums, the largest Norman castle keep in Europe as well as leisure and sporting facilities. Many other tourist attractions, pleasant drives and pretty villages are within easy reach, including Layer Marney Tower, Beth Chatto gardens, the Medieval town of Coggleshall and the Constable villages of Dedham and Flatford. Nature lovers and birdwatchers in particular, have acres of unspoilt salt marsh and backwaters to enjoy, where a huge variety of flora and fauna flourish. For the business traveller and those visiting friends or relatives nearby, Uplands provides a comfortable and welcoming stopover.
