We feel that Radcliffe is in an ideal location for anyone who wants to visit Ross-on-Wye. We have been here for many years now but have lived in Ross all of our lives and have a wealth of local Knowledge. The house was built in the late 17th century with additions in the 18th century with many charater features remaining we are sure you will like our adoreable house.
We have a Three Star Tourist rating with 6 en-suite rooms, two of which over look the georgeous Horseshoe bend of the River Wye.
All rooms have En-suite facilities, Colour Televisions, Tea and Coffee facilities, Central Heating throughout and Off street parking is available.
Breakfast is served between 8:30-9:15. Full English/Vegatarian breakfast (an early breafast can be arranged).
We operate a no smoking policy and do not accept dogs. |

Radcliffe is situated in the small town of Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, which is twinned with Betzodorf, Germany and Conde-Sur-Noireau, France where there are many places to dine with a variety of different foods and many inns to drink at from Tia to Chinese, Indian to fast food and of course good old English fayre.
We are in ideal location weather on leisure or business. It’s just a minute’s walk to the town centre but just less to the River Wye. A great place to set as base as there are many things to do and see.
The Market House Heritage Centre, John Kyrle Walk and the Wye Valley Walk that goes through Ross are a few things to see as well as fishing, canoeing and cycling.
The Wye Valley Walk is a 136 mile (218km) walk it starts at Plynlimon and ends at Chepstow with Llangurig, Rhayador, Builth Wells, Hereford, Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth in between.
John Kyrle walk is a circular walk around Ross, which is about 3 miles long.
The Forest of Dean is a 10 minute drive and is set in 110 square kilometres of woodland and is a great rural place to do many outdoor activates such as hiring a bike or taking your own and with many tracks or if you just like walking.
Goodrich Castle is a 10 minute drive where you can experience an audio tour of the castle.
Symonds Yat East/West is a 15 minute drive. On the East side you have a manned ferry where you can be pulled across to the West. Take a walk to the Yat Rock where you can view the Wye Valley, also Kingfisher Cruises, canoe hire, the rapids and a few places to eat. On the West is the leisure park with a Butterfly Zoo, Museum of Mazes and canoe hire.
Hereford is only a 20 minute drive where you can see the 13th Century Mappa Mundi and Chained Library at Hereford Cathedral, Hereford United F.C. and the Courtyard Theatre.
Gloucester is a 35 minute drive where you will find Roman Foundations, Victorian Docklands and a Norman Cathedral with lots of shops. |

When approaching Ross-on-Wye from;
The M50- At the end of the M50 take the first exit off the roundabout onto the A449,(sign posted South Wales, Monmouth), then at the next roundabout continue straight over. At the third roundabout take the 1st exit off (at the BP garage) onto Wilton Rd,
Monmouth- Follow signsposts to Ross-on-Wye, at Wilton roundabout (at the BP garage) take the third exit onto Wilton Rd,
Hereford- You will arrive at Wilton roundabout take the second exit,
Then- Follow Wilton Rd over the bridge and take the first exit into Wye Street, carry ahead and the Radcliffe is a black and white building near the top of the hill on the left hand side where you can park to off load your luggage.
From Gloucester- Follow the A40 to Ross take the first exit of the roundabout onto Gloucester Rd and follow bearing right on to High St (left of the Market House) at the T-junction turn left the imideatly right into Wye St, on the right hand side is the Radcliffe.
