The Escape is a magnificent Georgian Guest House / B&B of immense charm and character set in a peaceful location just outside the popular harbour village of Aberdovey.

Here the guest really does come first and there is no time you won't be made to feel welcome.

Our aim has been to create a high quality, small, friendly guest house / B&B offering stylish and comfortable accommodation with the very best of hospitality and service.

There is certainly no shortage of things to do in the local area, especially if you like the outdoors - and who wouldn't with the magnificent scenery of the Snowdonia National Park surrounding The Escape!

Within a short distance of The Escape there are a large variety of interesting and exciting places to visit. Whether you fancy an active day out, a leisurely stroll or a trip back in time on a historical journey there is something nearby to suit everyone.

There are lots of wonderful walks, cycle routes and mountain bike trails, some of which you can do straight from our door!

There is also a championship golf course at Aberdovey, Kite & Windsurfing, Fishing and Pony Trekking.

At the Escape we have tried to cater for the needs of walkers and bikers by adding extra facilities to make your stay more comfortable...

FROM THE NORTH

From M6 take M56 to Chester. From Chester take A483 through Wrexham and onto Welshpool. At Welshpool take A458 to Machynlleth. At the T junction in front of the clock turn right, then just after crossing the bridge over the river Dyfi turn sharp left. Continue for approximately 2 1/2 miles before entering Pennal. After the Riverside pub and just before the bridge turn right and follow the road up to The Escape on the right hand side. Parking is to the right of the building and in front of the double garage.


FROM THE MIDLANDS

From M6 towards Telford and Shrewsbury, then onto the A5 to Shrewsbury.

At Shrewsbury go onto A458 through Welshpool and onto Machynlleth.
Then as directions above.
