Wall Hills House stands on the hill slopes overlooking the old market town of Ledbury. Wall Hills itself is of some historic interest, the house being about 250 years old; a 15th century listed Cruck barn is part of the property, as are the Hop Kilns, dating from the 1600's.
All rooms are very spacious, reflecting the elegant Georgian era in which the house was built, and commanding superb views over rural Herefordshire. Wall Hills is renowned for its peace and quiet and David and Jennifer will do their best to help you unwind and recharge your batteries.
The bedrooms all have private or ensuite facilities, tea and coffee making tray, large fluffy white towels and beautiful toiletries. They have 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedded room.
When the RAC was grading Hotels Wall Hills earned the Warm Welcome Award,presented for the highest levels of hospitality, and the Sparkling Diamond Award, presented for excellent standards of hygiene and cleanliness. David was also awarded 2 dining ribbons for his meals - an exceptional achievement.
If you want the latest high tech and power showers then don't go to Wall Hills! Having said that they do have free Wifi.
There's a good range of bottled beers and ciders on the honesty bar, and local wines feature among more usual options on their wine list.
Food and Drink are very important to David and Jennifer and this is reflected in his menus and quality of service. Dinner here is not to be missed!

Ledbury Town is renowned for its cobbled streets and half timbered houses, frequently used by the Film and Television industry, and within easy reach of the three Cathedral cities of Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester.
The old town of Ledbury is an unspoilt example of a traditional thriving market town. If you are going home from here it is worth stopping first at the specialist shops in the High Street. Once you have tasted the "rare breed" meat that David gets from his local butcher, you'll want to buy some yourself!
The Malvern hills and their wonderful scenery and excellent walking close by.
For those who enjoy shopping and sightseeing, Worcester, Gloucester and Cheltenham are delightful towns. The Shambles, a museum of Victorian life, is just 7 miles away at Newent.
Keen Gardeners will enjoy the many local specialist nurseries, including the Picton Gardens collection of Michaelmas Daisies, and the recently opened Hampton Court gardens near Leominster.
Wine Lovers will be interested to find that there are several local vinyards and that the art of Cider making and perry making still flourishes in this region. |
