Bed and Breakfast Description

 

The Gladwyn has ten comfortable ensuite rooms which have all been refurbished and redecorated using unique themes and imaginative colours. You will also find some very nice original art work around the building. We have a family room so families are more than welcome and well behaved pets are invited to accompany their owners. Our public areas are all wi fi enabled (at no additional charge) so you can even bring your laptop.

On the ground floor is the resident's lounge (with full licensed facilities) and downstairs you will find a large breakfast room which comfortably seats twenty eight people....but please don't all come down to breakfast at the same time.

The Gladwyn is ideally situated opposite Devonshire Park and just around the corner from the Devonshire Theatre, the Congress Theatre, the Winter Gardens and the new arts centre. We are a short walk to the town's shops and the beach.

All our rooms are now ensuite and have colour televisions as standard. Coffee/tea making facilities are standard in each room and fresh milk and speciality teas are also available on request. We also provide complimentary toiletries so no need to bring your wash kit full of soaps and shampoos.

 

Eastbourne Attractions

 
Eastbourne is lucky to have a large selection of excellent resturants including French, Italian, Thai, Chinese, Turkish, Indian and many more. Some of our favourite restaurants inculde Dal Maestro, Pomodoro, Ganges and the Siam Orchid. Ask us about eating places and we will be more than happy to guide you to the best place and even book you a table if you need to.

Eastbourne has a very diverse and large selection of night clubs, wine bars and award winning lounges. The town might have a reputation as 'God's waiting room' but our younger clientele are pleasantly surprised when they see what Eastbourne has to offer. Some of our favourites watering places are The Loft, Hudsons, Atlantis, Flava and The Hart which are all a short walk (stagger) away from the Gladwyn.

Eastbourne holds a number of sporting events throughout the year including the famous International Women's Lawn Tennis Championships which takes place just across the road from the Gladwyn. Other attraction in Eastbourne include the Airbourne Airshow, Magnificent Motors, Victorian Festival, Eastbourne Extreme and the Beachy Head Marathon. Please book ahead to avoid disappointment.

From the seafront proceed down Lascelles Terrace (next to the TGWU building) past the Devonshire Park Theatre into Hardwick Road, then left into Blackwater Road, where the hotel is situated on the right-hand side, opposite the International Lawn Tennis Centre.

Railway Station
From the railway station, proceed up Gildredge Road and left into South Street then immediately right into Spencer Street and left into Blackwater Road where the hotel is situated on the left-hand side opposite the International Lawn Tennis Centre.

From Town Centre
From the Tourist Information Centre, proceed along Cornfield Road into Cornfield Terrace and take the first turning right into Blackwater Road where the hotel is situated on the right-hand side opposite the International Lawn Tennis Centre.
