Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Sue and John invite you to come and stay as guests in their home Stannings, which they run as a friendly and welcoming Bed and Breakfast. Stannings is situated in Felpham, a historic village on the outskirts of the small seaside town of Bognor Regis in West Sussex many times winner of the sunniest place in the UK. Stannings is a non smoking home and it has 3 bedrooms. 2 double ensuite rooms on the ground floor and on the first floor is a twin room which has its own large private bathroom. We do not have facilities for children. All our bedrooms have Freeview TV and free wireless internet access. Full English Breakfasts will be served to your own taste, tea and coffee at any time at your request. We can offer evening meals by prior arrangement. Meals can be served alfresco when the weather allows. In contrast there are many places to eat within easy walking distance. Off road parking is available. Also our Hot Tub is there for your enjoyment or just relax in our peaceful sunny garden.

 

Bognor Regis Attractions

 
Have a break the old traditional way by the seaside. Stannings is situated in Felpham a small village just to the east of the famous seaside town of Bognor Regis with its pier, kiss me quick hat shops, penny arcades, fish and chip shops, cafes, sandy beach and of course Butlins. Now Felpham is completely different for a start here is a much slower pace of life, Felpham is a small village which can trace its roots back the doomsday book. With thatch cottages, a Church dating from Norman times, William Blake’s cottage, welcoming pubs, cafes and restaurants, friendly local people and much more. The lovely sandy beach is quiet and unspoilt, with rock pools to explore, has its own yacht club, two lovely cafes right on the seafront, gaily painted beach huts, it’s own weather system (the sun always shines). Felpham is the beach the locals use. Stannings is situated in a quiet road a short 5 minute walk from the sea front which has safe bathing and a Promenade which is a lovely walk all the way to Bognor Regis and beyond. We are ideally placed for exploring nearby Chichester, Littlehampton and Arundel, horse racing at Goodwood and Fontwell and of course perfect for the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Revival meetings (different room rates apply). We are also well placed for discovering the beautiful South Downs which will soon be a National Park.

Whilst staying at Stannings Bed and Breakfast or in the Bognor Regis area why not try something different. Hire a mountain bike from us and have ago at mountain biking in the southdowns or just ride the country lanes in the lovely Sussex countryside.We offer an all in service, we can give advice on routes and also offer guided rides by riders with years local experience do it on your own or with our guide. The South Downs have hundreds of miles of empty bridle paths waiting to be ridden by mountain bike, even in the height of summer you can ride all day sometimes without seeing another person.
