Bed and Breakfast Description

A warm welcome awaits you at Rye's newest luxury 5* Guest House. Although the guest house has been thoroughly modernised, your hosts have retained many of the period features of the property, from the Doric columns of the main entrance, through to the bay windows and fireplaces. All the rooms have been styled to a very high standard and luxury finish making your stay a memorable one. Whether an overnight stay or a short break, Willow Tree House is all about comfort. If it’s four poster chic, then our Fairlight room is just for you. Maybe its fairytale charm, then the Playden is for you to lock yourself away during your short break.

Rye Attractions

Visit Rye any time of year and there's always plenty to see and do both in town and in the surrounding countryside. Visit the Rye Museum or an historic attraction like the Ypres Tower (the castle), take an audio walking tour or ghost tour, or see the sights with a Blue Badge Guide who can make your stay even more enjoyable. Swimming can be enjoyed at Camber Sands, Winchelsea Beach and at the new indoor swimming pool in Rye. Windsurfing and dinghy sailing can be found at Rye Windsurfing Lake whilst kite surfing courses take place on nearby Camber Sands. Fishing, cycle hire, horse riding, tennis and golf are also available in the locality.

There is so much to do in Rye that during a short stay you will only begin to discover the delights of our beautiful town. Why not extend your stay so you can explore the surrounding area? There are great attractions to delight the whole family in nearby towns - each offers a memorable day out. The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway with its marvellous miniature steam engines is a favourite with families. The full size, restored steam trains of the Kent & East Sussex Railway can take you to beautiful Bodiam Castle, or you can explore our local vineyards, where you may take a tour or taste the wines before buying a bottle or two to bring home as a special souvenir.

Lovers of history and horticulture will be amazed by the number of stately homes, castles and gardens that are open to the public in 1066 country. The area is popular with artists and photographers for its stunning scenery and big skies. Wildlife enthusiasts will find abundant opportunities for bird watching, with regular visits from rare species. Winding roads and picturesque villages offer a change of pace from every day life, and the countryside is peppered with ancient inns and delightful tea shops where you can enjoy refreshments.
