Your hosts Donna and Mike offer a high standard of accommodation and close attention to detail in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Our six bedrooms have their own individual style and decor and include private en-suite shower facilities. Each room has its own tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and remote control digital Freeview television.

The two king size double superior rooms are extremely spacious and have their own comfortable seating area in which to relax. These rooms will suit those guests wishing to find themselves a good base in the area and stay for a few nights. The double, twin and single rooms bedrooms provide full quality amenities of a modern guest house, as well as excellent views and access to the communal areas on the ground floor. The large family room has a king size double bed with en-suite access and two single beds in an adjoining room.

Downstairs there is an open plan reception and lounge seating area where guests can share their experiences, and read information on the local activities and attractions. Wireless internet access is available and a disabled toilet facility provided. A quality cooked or continental style breakfast with an emphasis on fresh produce is served in the dining room with its spectacular views up Glen Duror. In the evening, for guests preferring to relax at the B&B, dinner is available on request. Outside there is ample parking and a range of outbuildings dating back to the days when the property was part of a large dairy farm. Cyclists and walkers are welcome with overnight bike storage and drying facilities available.

Appin Attractions

Local to Pineapple House you can enjoy the beautiful beach at Cuil Bay with its atmospheric setting overlooking Loch Linnhe and the Morvern Hills. Deer, otters and many species of bird are found in the area along with the mountain bothy and birthplace of the infamous 'James of the Glen' hanged in 1752 for the Appin murder he did not commit. A delightful trip out is a visit to Port Appin with its photogenic views of Castle Stalker en route. Between Fort William, ‘the Outdoor Capital of the UK’, and Oban with its picturesque harbour and access to the islands, there are a wide range of activities to suit everyone from Munro mountain walking to gentle strolls through empty glens, boat hire, riding, fishing, cycling, golf, even snowsports in season, and of course whisky sampling. Eight miles away is the stunning valley of Glen Coe with its abundant hill walking and the National Trust Scotland visitor centre telling the story of the infamous 1692 Massacre of the Macdonalds as well as the history of the extraordinary geology of the area.

Other outdoor related activities in and around Lochaber include visits to the Kinlochleven mountaineering activity centre, and the beautiful Glen Nevis with its Visitor Centre telling you all about the UK’s highest mountain Ben Nevis. If you don’t fancy the strenuous walk up ‘the Ben’ you can always enjoy the views from the Nevis Range mountain gondola. A must see sight is the Glenfinnan Monument at Glen Shiel for the history of The Jacobite Rising of ’45. Also worth a look try the Treasures of the Earth an award winning gemstones & fossils exhibition at Corpach, Whisky distillery visits in Fort William and Oban, or a seafood lunch looking out over lovely Loch Leven. There are many organised wildlife excursions available with boat trips to see seals, dolphins and whales, a visit to the Scottish Sea Life Sanctuary at nearby Barcaldine, and on the Isle of Mull wildlife & birdwatching safaris.
