Cambridge Attractions

There is no shortage of things to do during your stay in Cambridge. Visit one of the many museums or galleries, take a guided walk and admire the classic architecture of the University's 31 colleges or view the beautifully maintained college gardens from the luxury of a chauffered punt along the river Cam; particularly attractive during the bloom of Spring daffodils.

As well as an abundance of culture, those seeking an outlet for their shopping addiction will not be disappointed. The city is home to all the major chain stores but also houses a delightful spattering of quirky and alternative stores. Visit King Street and Trinity Street for the designer boutiques or take a walk along Kings Parade where a tourist seeking a souvenir to take home will find gifts ranging from a Cambridge University T-shirt to exclusive, locally produced, pieces of art.

After dark, take a meal at one of the city's many and varied restaurants, ranging from simple brasseries right up to Michelin-starred dining. Enjoy a contemporary or arthouse movie, or treat yourself to a show at the small and intimate Cambridge Arts Theatre. During the summer months there are many extra events to be enjoyed, including a real treat for lovers of Shakespeare with open air performances in a number of the college gardens and live open air pop festivals on the city's spacious greens.

B&B Location

By road

Cambridge is well served by local and national road networks. From London or Stansted Airport, the M11 provides the most direct route. From the north the A14 brings traffic from the A1(M) to the north of Cambridge. The west and east are served by the A14 running from near Birmingham to Felixstowe. It is easist to join the A14 and turn off at the Milton exit (near the Science park). Follow the road towards the city centre until you come to a roundabout (about 1 mile from the A14), turn left and then right at the next roundabout. We are 100m from the roundabout on the left.

Nearest Railway Station: Cambridge  (1.5  Miles)
