Welcome To Pottery House: Winner of a "Travellers Choice Award 2009" from Trip Advisor for "Best Inns & B&Bs in Europe". No visit to Scotland is complete without a visit to the famed Loch Ness and if you are looking for accommodation, Pottery House is the ideal haven from which to enjoy the majesty and mystery of this great natural spectacle.

Pottery House on Loch Ness was built specifically for Bed & Breakfast. We are therefore able to offer a very high standard of accommodation whilst maintaining the ambience and friendly atmosphere of a traditional B&B. All accommodation includes: television with DVD player and a selection of DVDs, tea/coffee/hot chocolate courtesy tray, silent mini-fridge, hairdryer, use of iron/ironing board, fresh flowers in room, powerful shower, ample off-street parking, central heating with independent room controls, wireless Internet access and our own special local information pack.

 

Loch Ness Attractions

 
Many of our guests last year said they hadn't realised how much there is to see and do in the area around us, and wished they'd booked to stay longer. Some of the best places to visit include:

Dores Beach - A pebble beach stretching from the village of Dores and and the Dores Inn across to Torr Point.

Inverfarigaig - A series of walks from the village of Inverfarigaig up into the hills above Loch Ness.

Foyers - A spectacular waterfall and woodland walks along the river Foyers, out to Loch Ness.

Inverness - Capital of the Highlands with something for everyone, just 8 miles from Pottery House.

Loch Ruthven - An RSPB reserve with Slavonian Greebes and a beautiful drive between there and Dores.

Chanonry Point - Reputed to be the best place in the UK to see Bottle-Nosed Dolphins.

Fairy Glen - An RSPB Nature reserve and a beautiful walk following a stream through a woodland Glen.

Highland Wildlife Park - Everything from Bison and Deer, to Artic Fox, Wild Cats and Linx.

Glen Affric - A beautiful Glen and a great day out from Pottery House.

Applecross - Pretty seaside village on the west coast. Amazing road to Applecross, great Inn for seafood and great views across the sea to Skye.
 

B&B Location
 
Driving from Inverness Airport:

From the airport follow directions towards Inverness, this will take you down the A96 road.
Once you reach the Raigmore interchange on the edge of Inverness, join the A9 southbound towards Perth.
After just 1/2 mile turn off the A9 again, at the junction signposted B9006 for Culloden and Croy.
At the traffic lights turn left, signposted B9006 Inverness.
At the next roundabout take the second exit signposted B8082 to Hilton and Culduthel (the first exit is the retail park and Tesco). You are now on the Inverness southern distributor road.
Go straight over all roundabouts until you reach the end of the B8082 (approx. 2 miles), at which point turn left at the roundabout, signposted B862 to Dores.
Follow this road until you reach Dores (approx. 8 miles). Once in the village, at the fork in the road take the right hand fork, signposted B852 to Foyers and Inverfarigaig.
Loch Ness is now on your right hand side and Pottery House B&B is just 200yrds on the left hand side. Follow the red and yellow sign to the house, Pottery House is behind the parish hall.
