In our 170-year old stone & slate Welsh farmhouse we offer bed and breakfast accommodation in 3 bedrooms on an organic working farm. With en-suite bathrooms, there is a ground floor family suite (double room with adjoining single room – with single bed and drawer bed for smaller children) and a double bedroom upstairs.
The bathrooms have baths & showers. Guests have exclusive use of the dining room, which has a log burner, sofas and games.
Beds have crisp 100% cotton sheets, a selection of organic teas & coffee, local or homemade snacks and fresh flowers in the rooms.
Our house is unique because of the hand made furniture manufactured in the farm workshops, made using local chestnut and alder wood, reclaimed pine & gives a rustic country feel. Together with original paintings, it is a home from home - somewhere to relax.
Breakfast is served any time before 10am and includes freshly squeezed juice, organic free-range eggs from the farm, locally cured bacon & homemade sausages (using local organic pork), homemade bread made with organic welsh flour, homemade marmalade, local honey & jams. We are avid foodies!
If you would like an evening meal, please book in advance. Adults £15 for 2 courses - menus change daily. We do have a very good pub 2 miles away, and can give you a lift so you don’t have to drive.
We are located in the heart of beautiful West Wales, near the stunning Cardigan Bay coastline, with dolphins, sandy beaches, near castles and the market towns of Newcastle Emlyn and Llandysul. We are 20 minutes from New Quay, 25 minutes from Cardigan & Lampeter, & 45 minutes from Aberystwyth. Our working farm is set in a secluded country setting with many birds, wildlife and walks – so remember to bring your wellies!

Nantgwynfaen Organic Farm is 8 miles from the Cardigan Bay coast, famous for it’s bottlenose dolphins (spring-autumn). There are a choice of sandy beaches: Llangrannog a spectacular fishing village, Tresaith (with it’s waterfall), New Quay, with boat trips, and near to the Honey Farm, Mwnt – and it’s very pretty chapel, and Poppit sands, at the Teifi River estuary. Walk along the rivers and the Pembrokeshire & Ceredigion costal paths and nature reserves. There are castles, steam trains, harps, crafts, and the nearby woollen museum, visit the National Trust properties of Llanerchaeron gentry estate, and Dinewr Park with it’s 800 year old oak trees. There are Roman Gold mines, where Welsh ‘rose’ gold came from & there are silver mines too. The Castell Henllys iron-age fort shows how the Celts lived in their thatched round houses. The river Teifi, famous for it’s rich fishing and coracles weaves through our county and out into Cardigan Bay where canoeing & kayaking is a good way to see the sea lions and unique wildlife nestled into the cliffs. There are cheese makers and food producers, markets and pubs, red kites & gardens ….
But you might just want to relax by the log burner here in the farmhouse and take an amble around our farm (Gyp the Welsh Collie will be delighted to show you around) - check on the vegetable patch, collect the eggs, watch the swallows, track the badgers, see the lambs in the spring, the bluebells in May, the hay meadow in June, the stubble in September…. and what is in progress on the workbench, or to see what painting is on Ken’s easel…. The night sky is dark and full of stars, and there is true peace and quiet, no background noises or night pollution. The air is clean, the spring water is pure.

We are in West Wales, 8 miles from the Cardigan Bay coast equidistant from Aberystwyth, Cardigan and Carmarthen. We are 2 miles from Llandysul, at Croeslan, just off the A486.
From Croeslan (on the A486), take the lane that is sign-posted Penrhiwllan, we are the first farm track on the right (the telephone wires stop at the end of our drive).
From Newcastle Emlyn take the Lampeter road out of the town, the A475, past Riverside Health Shop. Carry on straight through Llandyfriog & Aberbanc. At Penrhiwllan turn left immediately after the shop, signposted Croeslan. Drive for a mile and a half. After passing a lane on the right, we are the next farm track on the left. If you reach the main A486 road at Croeslan, you have gone too far! Turn around, we are the first farm track on your right.
