Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Frogs Hall Barn is a traditional brick & flint, fully beamed converted Norfolk barn, in the Hamlet of Woodgate close to the village of Swanton Morley near the town of Dereham. The property is set in 4 acres of beautiful countryside - a tranquil haven tucked away down a single track lane.

We can offer a lovely large, superior vaulted & beamed, double bedroom with small modern luxury en-suite shower room. The room is double aspect looking out onto a small courtyard with an abundance of pot plants which is very colourful during the spring and summer months (can be used for a young family room for 3). Our second smaller delightful standard vaulted & beamed double bedroom is also available & has a small modern luxury en-suite shower room & also looks out onto our delightful courtyard. Both are on the ground floor in the main barn & are equipped with TV, clock radio alarm, hair dryer and a refreshment tray with a selection of hot drinks and biscuits. There is wireless internet connection if you wish to bring your laptop.

Breakfast is served in the large, vaulted, beamed Dining Room that looks out over our flowering meadows with far reaching views over the open countryside. After you have had your fill of a full English Breakfast why not take a stroll through the grounds.

We have our own chickens (lovely fresh eggs for breakfast) and a dovecote which attracts many wild birds including pheasants as well as our own white fantail doves. You may even see a deer or two coming up to feed from the bird table. Our two meadows have mown pathways so that you can wander around at your leisure and in the bottom meadow there is a large fully stocked koi pond.

Dereham Attractions

 
Just 14 miles from the delights of Norwich City with its fine shops, restaurants and entertainments. Both the Broads and the Coast are within a 40 minute drive. Hunter’s Hall is just ‘a Norfolk’ half a mile along the lane.

The village of Swanton Morley is minutes away and has two pubs (both serving delicious lunchtime and evening meals), a butcher, delicatessen and a small mini-market with post office.

Frogs Hall Barn is only 2 mins away from Hunter's Hall wedding receptions.
From Norwich - go west along the A47 for aprox 9 miles until you come to a stretch of dual carriageway with an exit sign to NORTH TUDDENHAM. Take this left exit & turn right at T junction, going over bridge & turn left at next T junction onto B110. After aprox 1 mile turn right at sign to Swanton Morley. Follow for 1 mile to second bend & take right into single track road called Norwich Road. Follow this to end T junction & turn right into Woodgate Road. Follow for 1/2 mile until road bares sharp left - Take right hand turning into Frogs Hall Lane & our barn will be found at the 5th house on left around the bend.
