Built in 1874 by a wealthy Edinburgh businessman, Kildonan Lodge Hotel has been beautifully restored to capture the atmosphere of a bygone era, so that it provides the perfect setting for your visit to Scotland's Capital. Kildonan Lodge is the ideal retreat for the discerning guest or businessman in search of a "home away from home".

Well-appointed non-smoking bedrooms have for your comfort en-suite bathrooms, direct dial telephone, colour television, radio alarm, hairdryers, welcome tea/coffee tray and many other "nice little touches" to make guests feel at home. Family rooms are available and children are made most welcome. For that special occasion we offer the extra luxury of our 4 poster bedrooms or you might choose to relax in one of our rooms with their very own jacuzzi baths! To add to the moment we are always happy to arrange the delivery of flowers and/or champagne to your room.

The splendid residents lounge provides a tranquil setting in which guests can relax by an open fire whilst enjoying a dram from the "Honesty Bar". Delicious wholesome full Scottish breakfasts and dinner are served in the spacious and elegant dining room. Kildonan Lodge also specialises in attending to small weddings and functions.

Ideally situated for the City Centre either by use of the frequent bus service or a brisk 11/2 mile walk. To see Edinburgh at its best it is advisable to leave the car in our large private car park.
 

B&B Location
 
To reach the Kildonan Lodge Hotel. Follow signs for City By-pass South, continue on by-pass and exit at "Straiton Junction" (A701 City Centre) follow the signs for city centre for 2.5 miles through various sets of traffic lights. You will come to a large junction with three lanes, take middle lane, the Hotel is the sixth building on the right hand side.
