Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Derwent Lodge Hotel opened July 2007 after the property had undergone total refurbishment both externally and internally and now offers 21st century facilities within the stone building. Residents Lounge has large bay window with views over the landscaped garden and of Derwentwater.

The Hotel has 8 en-suite bedrooms, 5 rooms can either be double or twin ensuite with shower, 2 deluxe rooms with spa bath & shower and a grand four poster room with balcony overlooking the garden and with a stunning lake view.

All have flat screen TV incorporating radio/wake up alarm ,beverage tray, Hairdryer, Room safe.

There is plenty of free parking within our grounds and the hotel has a public bar and is open to non residents for dinner.

 

Keswick Attractions

 
A footpath nearby leads to the market town of Keswick, about a twenty minute walk.

In Keswick you will find shops selling everything for the outdoor enthusiast as well as galleries, craft shops, cafes, Cinema and Theatre.

For the walking enthusiast we are 5 minutes from the Newlands valley, Catbells or you could catch the Launch from Nichol end for a trip around the lake.

Opposite the Hotel is Derwentwater Marina who offer a range of activities from sailing and watersports to ghyll scrambling and rock climbing.

From the M6 motorway take the Penrith junction (40)and head towards Keswick on the A66 trunk road for approx 15 miles. The turning point for Portinscale is about 1 mile after the Keswick roundabout.Continue through the village of Portinscale for about half a mile and Derwent Lodge Hotel is situated on the right opposite the Derwentwater Marina
