Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Your private accomodation includes a small, cosy lounge with digital TV and courtesy tray, a shower room with complimentary toiletries and a double bedroom with radio and hairdrier.

Breakfast, prepared using local ingredients, can be taken in the 'Garden Room' with its' exposed stone walls and pine ceiling, or, weather permitting, in our attractive courtyard garden.

We have only one guest area available so you are sure to receive the amount of attention you are comfortable with.

Activities close by include golf, pony riding and fishing. The village boasts two pubs, a hotel and golf club where evening meals are available.

Off street parking and safe storage for bicycles are provided.

If you are a busy couple looking for a stress free break or walkers/cyclists looking for base to explore this beautiful area then Wellhouse may be just the place for you.

 

Belford Attractions

 
Northumberlands 'Heritage' coastline, closest beach is at Bamburgh, 4 miles away. The Cheviot Hills, moorland and forests are nearby. Castles at Alnwick (of Harry Potter fame), Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh, Chillingham and Warkworth.

The famous Alnwick Garden and the magnificent gardens at Howick are close by. Cragside House at Rothbury and the Ingram Valley are a short drive.

The 'Holy Island' of Lindisfarne with castle and ancient priory are a ten minute drive away as is the small harbour of Seahouses where boats leave to tour the Farne Islands and view the seals and birdlife.

Between Belford and Berwick is the wonderful Ford and Etal estate with castle and site of battle of Flodden Field.

This area, rich in natural beauty and history, is easily accessible from Belford by car, on bicycle or on foot.
