Situated in the village of Tintagel, within easy walking distance of breathtaking scenery along the cliffs, and the mythical home of King Arthur at Tintagel Castle, the inn offers all one expects from an old fashioned hostelry — a warm welcome, good food using locally produced ingredients as far as possible, real ales, Cornish beer, traditional darts and pool, a roaring log burner in the winter time and we are open all year. The Inn has en-suite family bedrooms and a smaller family room which sleeps 3. Each room has colour freeview flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, a safe, a selection of toiletries and full central heating. An iron and ironing board, high chairs and cot is also available.
Perhaps you will want to relax amidst our beautiful coastal scenery or walk the coastal path, visit a nightclub in Newquay, or perhaps venture into the Atlantic ocean to ride the waves. Cornwall is reknown for it's beautiful sandy beaches and kind climate. Tintagel is famous for its connections with King Arthur, here lie the castle ruins looked after these days by English Heritage and on the beach directly below the castle is Merlins cave. The National Trust lovingly cares for the old manor house of Trevena, now known as the Old Post Office, and this is one of the National Trust's most photographed properties. |
