We are located within easy walking distance of the many restaurants, bars and amenities which Aviemore has to offer.
Cairngorm Mountain Railway - The modern funicular railway takes visitors to the Ptarmigan station near the summit of Cairngorm. The Ptarmigan houses a shop, exhibition and the UK's highest restaurant - plus an outdoor viewing platform to experience the breath taking panorama.
Landmark Forest Theme Park - A fantastic day out - watercoasters, tree-top trail, fire tower, saw mill, maze and wildlife trails.
Highland Folk Museum - Open air museum with reconstructed 1700s village, a working croft with rare farm animals, guides in traditional dress, an old tin walled school and audio visual suite.
Highland Wildlife Park - Scotland's past and present wildlife in one park with drive through reserve and walk through area. Wolves, bison, beaver, otter and wildcats to name a few. |

BY AIR
From Inverness Airport, take the A9 south to Aviemore - distance of 30 miles, about 40 minutes drive. Strathspey House is located on the main street to the north end of the village, private parking accessed via the side road, Kinveachy Gardens.
For larger airports, Glasgow and Edinburgh are 150 and 125 miles away respectively. Car journey times north to Aviemore less than 3 hours from Glasgow and 2 hours from Edinburgh.
BY RAIL
Aviemore Railway Station is on the Inverness - Perth/Edinburgh/Glasgow line. From the station, walk north along the main street 5-10 minutes. Strathspey House is on the same side of the main street as the station. Alternatively, there is a taxi service stance outside the railway station - taxi journey time 2 minutes. BY BUS Scottish Citylink Inverness route. From the main bus stop in the heart of the village, walk north along the main street for 5-10 minutes.
Alternatively and more conveniently, use the Burnside bus stop to the north end of the village, walk south on the main street for about 200 metres.
FROM TOURIST INFORMATION CENTRE From Aviemore TIC, travel north along the main street, passing all the shops and the church on the right hand side. Strathspey House is located on the right shortly after the War Memorial. It's a 5-10 minute walk or 2 minute drive away. Private parking via the side road, Kinveachy Gardens.
